History

NIBM was founded in 1939, when the company started manufacturing industrial and construction machinery for the Dutch market. From the early days on NIBM has been known as the reliable partner for vertical transport solutions. Whether it concerns the purchase or rental of equipment, NIBM has always put customer needs first. NIBM is a subsidiary of Elephant Verenigde Bedrijven N.V., a 50 year old family-owned company.

Over the years NIBM has evolved with ever changing market demands: NIBM focused its activities on the core business of offering crane and hoist solutions. With the dealership for Potain (over 40 years), NIBM has become a reputable name in the Netherlands. NIBM operates worldwide, delivering both standard and custom solutions all over the world. In more recent years NIBM has also started the development of its own products. This has for instance resulted in the production of reusable fixing angles and the “climbing” crane.

In the future, NIBM will continue to focus on offering full service standard solutions where the competition will most likely opt for custom solutions.
